Meet Victoria Jackson

Victoria Jackson is a former educator of 35 years, from Washington State.

The Other Side is a book of poems created from life and love experiences, spanning from Bayfield, Wisconsin to Seattle, Washington, that was published in 2008 and revised in 2018.With the purpose of generating income for The Lois Hodges Scholarship Fund. The fund was created in 2018 with the desire to assist hindered single women and men with a college-bound student.

Ms. Jackson’s goal is to provide a $1000.00 scholarship every year until a full scholarship is granted. With the sale of her book The Other Side, along with The Other Side Book-Marks, The Other Side Tee-Shirts also Faye Leis Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackberry Jam, Bath and Lip Scrubs, and Body Oils is how the funding is provided.

The Other Side is a series of poems based on relationships that impacted my experiences with living, loving, and life on my journey to self-acceptance and enlightenment.

I realized self-examination was the key to overcome distressing circumstances encountered on my journey. Looking at each situation as a valuable lesson and moving forward entrusting God and knowing he is guiding my walk. The years living on this beautiful island has been the most rewarding steps on my journey.
