Born in Mt. Kisco, New York, Frances Lee Britten spent several of her childhood years
living in Havana, Cuba, before her family returned to New York. In 1966, she moved to Hawai‘i and has resided in Kailua with her family since 1975.
A graduate of St. Lawrence University, Britten was first licensed in Hawai‘i real estate in 1983, and in 1985, obtained a broker’s license. She is a member of the RS Council as a Certified Residential Specialist—a prestigious professional association that requires experience and education beyond licensing requirements.
She was a Salesperson Associate with Wade Ltd., Realtors 1983-1985; a Broker-Associate with Wade Ltd., Realtors 1985-1999; a Broker-Associate with Homequest Realtors LLC since 2000; and a member and past president of the Kailua Chapter of BNI (Business Networking International) since 2007.
Britten has three adult children, three children-in-law, three grandchildren, and four cats. Her proudest lifetime achievement is being a mom. Her husband James (Jim) Britten, a nuclear pipefitter at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, with a 50-yer career with the U.S. Department of Defense, passed away 2013.
When not helping people pursue their real estate dreams, Britten is reading fiction, watching her grandchildren play sports, or doing crafts like needlework and card-making.
