Dr. Seuss' Birthday Story time! Our next story time will celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss.. (Joy and Dr. Seuss share a birthday on March 2, so she's always aware of when this is.)  Once again, we are teaming with the AAUW (American Association of University Women) for story time. Wednesday, February 29th at 10:30am we will have stories, a craft and birthday cupcakes for keiki ages 3 to 5. Participates should call 324-0350 to register. There will be a $5.00 participation fee per child to help cover crafts and snack. Space is limited to 30 children.

The examples in this book and class are specific to Hawaii homes, and to the landscape, climate and culture of the Islands. The initial meeting of this group was a big hit! Kona Stories own cooking maven, Tiare will facilitate a monthly Culinary book group which focuses on cookbooks and culinary memoirs.

This group will continue to meet the 1st Wednesday of each month at 4pm. Please bring your favorite dish featuring the theme of the month as well as printed recipes to share with the group. Everyone is welcome and you don't need to attend each time if you cannot; just come when you can. This group is free, but donations are welcome. The theme for March is: Vegetarian Dishes!
