| Aloha! |  So, do we need to remind you that Christmas is a week from Saturday? Do we need to remind you that Kona Stories has just the right gift for almost anyone? Or that we have wonderful stocking stuffers? Or that it's important to support local businesses? I didn't think so... We will be open from 9am to 3pm on Christmas Eve, 12/24. Closed 12/24 to 12/27 and re-open on Tuesday 12/28.

|  Doreen Virtue is a spiritual doctor of psychology and a forth-generation metaphysician who works with the angelic, elemental, and ascended-master realms in her writings and workshops. Doreen is the author of more than 20 books about angels, chakras, Crystal Children, Indigo Children, health and diet, and other mind-body-spirit issues, including her latest book Angel Words and her 2011 Calendar Messages From your Angels. Doreen will sign books, card decks and calendars from 4 to 5pm Saturday, December 18th. This is a free event.
Following the book signing, Doreen's band Obsidian will play a high-vibrational concert at the Keauhou courtyard concert pavilion to help you enjoy the holiday spirit. This free concert is from 5 to 7pm.

Working with Crystals for Awareness and Healing

In this two hour workshop, we will be with and learn to communicate with crystals and stones. You will find your own relationship with the various stones, gemstones and crystals that "call" to you. By discovering your intuitive skills you will discover why they came to you and the gifts they offer. There will be time for questions. Lead by Maraiel Ruth; Since 1985 Maraiel--following her own call-has been deeply involved with the mineral kingdom, as teacher, artist, collector, occasional miner and purveyor of the finest gems and crystals available.

Our Lesbian Book club meets Tuesday, 12/21 at 6:30 to discuss The Stone Gods by Jeanette Winterson. In this book: Billie Crusoe and the renegade robo-sapian Spike have been assigned to colonize a new blue planet. But when a technical maneuver intended to make it inhabitable backfires, Billie and Spike's flight to the future becomes a surprising return to the distant past.
Catherine the Great: Love, Sex and Power by Virginia Rounding will be the topic of discussion for "Just the facts" our non-fiction group on Tuesday, 12/28 @6:30pm. "A great thumping triumph of a book." says the "London Telegraph ". This is the first comprehensive modern biography of Catherine the Great to explore her both as a woman and empress.
The Second Tuesday Book Club is now reading Out Stealing Horses by Per Petterson. An early morning adventure out stealing horses leads to the tragic death of one boy and a resulting lifetime of guilt and isolation for his friend, in this moving tale about the painful loss of innocence and of traditional ways of life that are gone forever. We will discuss this book on Tuesday, 1/11/11@6:30. Joy's exchange student, Maren, will be the subject matter expert on this book set in Norway.
