PACKING !
| | Oh, my gosh! What a fantastic group we had come help us pack up the store. It took 20 women only one and a half days to pack-up everything AND take down the shelves and disconnect the bookcases! (meanwhile, Kyle sold books out front). A super big 'Mahalo' to our packers. We'll be calling you with a personal 'thank you', soon.

Movies & Book Groups at Kona Stories
| | Our fiction group, "The Second Tuesday Book Club" will meet in our new spot at Keauhou to discuss Small Island by Andrea Levy on Tuesday Nov 9 @ 6:30pm. The book unfolds through time like a photo album, as Levy captures the struggle between class, race and sex with a humor and tenderness that is both authentic and bracing..
Our next Lesbian Group meeting will be Tues, November 16 @ 6:30. At that time we will watch a movie of Lesbian short films, Lesbian Nation. This anthology of five daring short films explores life as a lesbian in modern times.
"Just the Facts" is reading One Bullet Away by Nathaniel Fick. We will meet on Tuesday, November 23 at 6:30pm. In this deeply thoughtful account of what it's like to fight on today's front lines, Fick reveals the crushing pressure on young leaders in combat.

Aloha!
WOW! We're open at Keauhou! We've been VERY hard at work to get open for the big Keauhou "Thriller" Halloween event. Here's the crew for that night: Joy, Maren, Kyle and Brenda. Since then, we've also received lots of new product that we're still unpacking and Joy still hasn't set-up the sound system, but come see us in our new space! We think it's terrific and hope you will, too.

The Feng Shui Bagua with Clear Englebert
 | | Clear Englebert |
Come and learn about the Bagua map, a grid of nine areas that lies over the floor plan of a room or building. Each area corresponds to an aspect of life, such as Relationship, Abundance, Career, Health, & Reputation. The orientation of the grid is based on the door, which is called the Mouth of Chi. Engleber says, "This is the main tool that I bring with me to a Feng Shui consultation."
Buy one of Clear's books when you sign-up and receive $5 off the seminar. Clear Englebert is the author of Feng Shui for Hawaii, Feng Shui Demystified & Bedroom Feng Shui. At our new location in the Keauhou Shopping center: Saturday, November 6 from 1-4pm. $25.00 Sign-up today:

Well, it's been a crazy couple of weeks. We miss Mango Court, but are very excited to be at the Keauhou Shopping Center. Everyone here's been very welcoming and friendly. Thanks to all our South Kona Friends who have already come in to say "Aloha".
Lastly, a note about Barnes, one of our cats. Barnes is very much an outdoor cat, who also needs a lap to curl-up on. So, we didn't think he would be happy here as an indoor cat and have found him a new home. His new people report that he has adjusted very well to his new home and family. I hope to include a picture in our next e-mail.
Thanks for READING supporting your LOCAL BOOKSTORE!!
