He attended UC Berkeley as an undergraduate and in 1999 graduated valedictorian of his class from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Monica, California.

He is currently in private practice as an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist on the Big Island of Hawaii, dividing his time between medicine, writing, and farming.

Signed copies of his latest book, Nature of the Heart: Poems for Holistic Healing, are available at Kona Stories.

Each month Kona Stories displays one of Jack's poems for the "Poem of the Month," a whimsical and enchanting display in the bookstore.

Weber is a prolific writer and a passionate healer. Over the last four years he has begun work on three other prose books and has been revising his thousands of poems written over the last ten years. These poems will soon be divided among at least twelve future books of poems for the passionate inward journey. Weber's poems have been published in various periodicals including: The Herb Companion ("Roots"), The Herbal Network Newsletter ("Hibiscus," "Medicine Man") The Palisadian Post ("Rain," "Sacred") Puna News ("Gateways"), Maui Times Newspaper ("Carried," "Home"), The East Hawaii Observer ("Celebrating Peace Now," "Waterboat," "Still"), The Yo San University Newsletter ("Wu-Wei," "Alchemy," "Reflections," "Creek"), and others. He has been written up in the newspapers, The Palisadian Post, Hawaii Island Journal, Maui Times and Puna News.

Jack is also a certified yoga instructor and massage therapist. He has practiced and taught yoga, tai chi ch'uan, massage, organic gardening, and western medical herbalism for the last twenty years. He has written poetry in both English and Spanish since the age of fourteen, as well as translated poems from Spanish to English. He reads his poems to audiences large and small and is currently sharing from his new book of poems and prose, Nature of the Heart, which chronicles the breaking open of the heart through grounded awakening.

He is a regular guest at Kona Stories for weekend author events and his calligraphy decorates the store's inside walls.

Jack increasingly teaches, writes, and conducts workshops. Most notable is the wide distribution of his "Healing Poem Cards" and "Poetry Art Cards." These unique and colorful greeting cards, compiled of poems from Healing Between the Lines and other works, have sold tens of thousands of copies over the last six years. They are carried by many doctors' offices, health food stores, bookstores, and natural health clinics and resorts across the country as well as on the author's website. His creations are also available at Kona Stories.

Weber's largest creations, "Healing Poetry-art," consist of poems hand-calligraphied onto handmade papers with natural images and materials. This series is on display in various galleries and private residences in Los Angeles and Hawaii. Reproductions of these colorful Poetry-art pieces constitute his most recent line of greeting cards (called "Poetry-Art Cards"), released in November of 2003 and distributed by Earthbound Press. At the same time, Mr. Weber released five new sets of Healing Poem Cards on different themes for healing: On Love, On Transformation, On Work and Calling, on Writing and Creativity and On Surrender.
