Patricia's latest book, God Outside the Box: A Story of Breaking Free is a "rollercoaster ride of a spiritual journey," which chronicles Panahi's lifelong search for God in unexpected places.

Born to a New Jersey Catholic mother and an Iranian Muslim father, Panahi never knew exactly what she believed. When she was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer at age 28, she began a search for spirituality that would lead her to many different people and paths.

The book follows her on this journey, which finally takes her to Hawaii, her soul mate, and her own true calling as a writer.
