YI QUAN QIGONG:

STAND LIKE THE PINE, MOVE LIKE THE WIND

With Ken Cohen (Gao Han)

At Kona Stories, Kealakekua, HI

Saturday Feb. 6, 9 AM-12, 2-4 PM

In this one day workshop you will learn:
1.     Yi Quan Standing Meditation – to improve posture and breathing and increase the body’s reserve of healing energy.
2.    Yi Quan Walking – to improve balance and coordination and to find stillness within movement.
3.    Shi Li – simple movement patterns that dissolve tension and improve the flow of qi throughout the whole body.
4.    Yi Quan Meditation – healing imagery for inner peace.

Qigong,
“energy work,” is an ancient system of gentle movements, breathing techniques,
and meditation from China. Qigong practice creates a wonderful feeling of
well-being, vitality, and connection with nature. It is also the most
scientifically proven method of complementary medicine. Qigong can help you
resist illness and stress and maintain a high level of positive energy. Yi Quan
(“Mindfulness Healing and Martial Art”) is often considered the most essential
of all qigong styles, as it trains students in the vocabulary on which qigong
is built-- how to stand and move with balance, power, and grace.
